This workshop is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) and Self-assessment and Simulation (Section 3) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by The Michener Institute of Education – CPD Accreditation Office. You may claim a maximum of 4 Section 1 hours group learning, 12 Section 3 hours Self-assessment and 3 Section 3 hours Simulation (credits are automatically calculated).


The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) has accredited the Aesthetic Applications of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Program for up to 7.5 Mainpro+ Professional Development Credits. Any physician that completes one full day of the program is eligible to claim 7.5 credits.
Nurses who take the Aesthetic Applications of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) course will receive 20 credits.

Course Curriculum

Pre-Course Webinar - Didactic Lecture
  • Introduction to Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP including indications and benefits of PRP for aesthetic purposes
  • The preparation process for different applications of PRP and the results of each method
  • The different administration techniques for PRP to optimize patient outcomes (dermal roller, mesotherapy, needle and cannula injections)
  • Please note: this course does not include phlebotomy training. If you are interested in phlebotomy training, please reach out to schedule a time prior to the PRP course start date
On-site Training - Hands-On Practical
  • One-hour review of webinar content with an emphasis on administration techniques
  • Practice different applications including facial rejuvenation and hair restoration
  • Observe the preparation process for different applications
  • Gain hands-on experience performing dermal roller, mesotherapy, injection, and cannula treatments under the supervision of instructors

Hands-On Training Designed for Your Success

  • Hands-on rotations are kept to small 3-4 person groups
  • Work with live demo patients and inject 5-6 clients minimum
